Sentry boxes “Guaritas”

Exhibited during the 52nd Venice Biennale, her photographs from the series Sentry boxes “Guaritas” take an inventory of guard posts that may be encountered on the streets of Porto Alegre. The precarious cabins, marked by time’s wear and tear are initially photographed for documentary purposes, before enveloping the status of a work of art, by being screened into urban space.
